So in the middle of last October I really thought that I was mildly insane to be out planting tulips when I was a very 9 months pregnant (Ryan was born Oct 22). I have since determined that I was actually having a very rare stroke of brilliance (they were few are far between with my poor pregnancy addled mind :) when I saw the "fruits of my labor". Over the past few weeks more and more little green sprouts have been pushing their way through the very hard dirt of our front yard. I wake up every morning and check on my little flowers to see if there have been any buds. Earlier this week I was rewarded with the mini yellow ones! Rest assured, I will be posting more pictures when they are in full bloom...I feel like a proud parent :)
Spring is just trying so hard to overcome this harsh winter!

I am so proud of you and your pretty flowers. It makes me want to buy flowers and put them in my yard.
The blooming flowers are the only thing good about this spring so far. It is too dang cold.
On a different note - I saw Angie's pictures of Ryan. So cute. I want to babysit him next time.
Annie, you're so darn cute. this post put a much needed smile on my face!
how fun, i love it! I didn't know you were such a gardener! :) I want to come up and see them for myself.
look at you! how fun, and pretty! i saw ryan on angie's blog too-- he is one cute cute little boy.
What is up with the snow??? I heard rumors of seventy this weekend! Do we dare to dream?
Yeah! My tulips are taking forever to go from green to bloom, but that's half the fun: waiting for spring to arrive. I just wish the weather realized spring was here.
